We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Teacher of Design & Technology, with Child Development in our
Secondary phase. We are looking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated teacher of Design Technology to join our well-resourced and successful department.
This is a part-time (0.6) position to cover a member of staff going on maternity leave and will involve teaching
Product Design, Textiles and Graphic Products to KS3, as well as Child Development to Years 10 and 11. The successful applicant will be willing to contribute to the continuing development of schemes of work, planning of lessons and assessment for learning.
Academic attainment across all phases is consistently above national averages and in 2019, 83% of students
obtained the expected standards in reading, writing and maths at the end of Key Stage 2. In addition, 78% of students obtained grade 4+ in both English and maths at GCSE.
The role is suitable for an NQT or an experienced member of staff wishing to seek a change in environment
and work in a highly effective school.
The successful candidate will be expected to motivate and inspire students, staff and parents to develop and
promote a culture that challenges students to achieve at the highest levels. Caroline Chisholm School has a clear ambition to become the highest-performing school in the Northamptonshire area, across all phases.
