The Learning Community seeks to appoint an ambitious, dynamic and driven Teacher to deliver English and Mathematics to our year 7 and 8 learners based on the Secondary Campus, with the opportunity to work closely with primary colleagues as part of our 3-16 Learning Community. There will also be an opportunity to work with some of our vulnerable learners in the Resource Base to ensure they have the opportunity to experience a broad and balanced curriculum.
This is an exciting professional development opportunity to gain skills and experience of delivering key elements of the curriculum to our year 7 and 8 learners, and learners within the Learning Resource Base. The successful candidate will have either a primary or a secondary background with an understanding of the Year 7 and 8 Curriculum.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and will be able to demonstrate both their passion for learning and their ability to lead and inspire our learners.
In addition, the successful applicants will be able to:
• Create an inspirational learning environment with high expectations of learner achievement, success and progression
• Demonstrate a high level of organisational and ICT skills
• Build effective and supporting relationships with learners, parents and colleagues
As a multi-campus 3-16 all through school, we are afforded a wide range of opportunities for carefully co-ordinated cross phase working that supports both learner and staff development. We believe that through the single school approach, we can ensure our learners develop aspirations for themselves and for our community.
