The Governors are looking to appoint a well-qualified and talented individual to teach in our English and Media Studies department.
The post of English and Media is an exciting one. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful teaching of the English and Media Studies curriculum along with the extra-curricular opportunities offered by the department.
Candidates for this post should be able to demonstrate:
• ability and success in the teaching of English and Media Studies
• innovative but effective approaches to teaching English and Media Studies across the age and ability range
Treorchy Comprehensive School is embarking on an exciting chapter and is a ‘6th Form Centre of excellence’ for the Upper Rhondda valley. Some brand new state of the art accommodation has been built and further refurbishment is taking place, increasing the number of classrooms in the school and enhancing the existing high quality teaching and learning environment.
The School is situated at the head of the Rhondda Valley within easy access of the Brecon Beacons National Park, 40 minutes travelling distance from Swansea and 40 minutes from Cardiff and the South Wales coast.
