Required from November 2021 to February 2022.
The school is seeking
an enthusiastic and qualified Teacher of History and Politics to teach in a
lively and successful department. The post becomes available in November 2021
and provides the opportunity to teach history across all year groups and politics
from years 12-13 (including Oxbridge entrance). The successful candidate will
be a newly qualified or experienced teacher with the ability to teach at all
levels. S/he will an academically strong historian who can combine an
intellectually rigorous approach to the subject with an obvious enthusiasm for
pupils’ intellectual development and who has the ability to convey these
interests across the full range of years in the school. All members of staff
are expected to play a part in the pastoral organisation of the school.
This will be a cover
role, anticipated to be from November 2021 to February 2022, teaching 18
periods a week.
