To support the successful implementation and development of the school’s academic and pastoral programme as a member of the IT department. This is a part-time role. NQT's will be considered, we also welcome applications from those returning to work after a career break.
Collingwood College has a flourishing IT Department. The Department endeavours to ensure that students find Information Technology a stimulating, enjoyable and highly relevant subject. Developing confidence in their Information Technology ability to meet new challenges and succeed.
The Department results are improving year on year, with 38% achieving Grades 7-9 and 90% Grades 9-4 at GCSE last year. The popularity of Computer Science and Creative iMedia is growing within the school with numbers taking A Level increasing year on year. In the Sixth Form we offer A Level Computer Science and BTEC Information Technology Level 3. We are also fortunate to have two IT Classroom assistants who predominantly support KS3 Core IT lessons.
A particular strength of the department is the way we identify and challenge our gifted and talented students. We also work closely with our SEND Department and Pupil Premium Lead to support some of our students, including extra Computer Science and iMedia lessons.
