A UK curriculum school in Abu Dhabi is seeking a female PE Teacher to join the team as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate needs to have a suitable degree and a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE OR a B.Ed. Candidates must also possess valid references & DBS/police checks.
The School was founded in 1999, by Her Highness Sheikha Shaikha bint Saif Al Nahyan, in order to ensure the availability of outstanding girls’ education in Abu Dhabi.
In all that we do, emphasis is placed on innovation, exploration and discovery in an atmosphere of courtesy and concern for others. Our students are encouraged to take part in activities which challenge them and also to make a contribution, both in their local community and further afield, enabling them to become responsible citizens in their school and the wider world.
The school is deeply rooted in the values of the Emirati community, driven by the aspirations of parents and guided by the requirements of our regulatory body, ADEK, to ensure that the students are placed at the centre of all that is achieved.
Above all, the school is a happy, vibrant place to learn and to grow, secure in the knowledge that all who are part of the school community are warmly welcomed and respected on the journey to success.
The school offers it pupils a curriculum based on the English National Curriculum but incorporates the local culture through the teaching of Arabic and Social Sciences. Muslim pupils also follow the Islamic Studies curriculum.
We are looking for a teacher who is an innovative, experienced and emotionally intelligent practitioner who works with the students to engender a deep and reflective approach to learning. We employ teachers who hold teaching qualifications recognised in the UK and have experience of teaching in the UK or in accredited British Schools overseas. All teachers should ideally have a minimum of two years post-qualification teaching experience in order to be licensed with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
The students range from FS to Year 12 and come to learn with the highest expectations of their teachers.
