Brynmawr Foundation School is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and suitably qualified teacher of Maths to work within our innovative and efficacious Maths team.

The successful applicant will be an inspirational teacher who is committed to bringing out the best in every student and will be involved in the teaching and delivery of Maths to both KS3 and KS4. We follow the WJEC Specifications at GCSE, therefore, knowledge of the new specifications and the changes to the Maths GCSE is imperative.
The successful applicant will preferably have a proven record of strong classroom performance and will have high expectations of behaviour, attainment and presentation. We feel strongly that our school motto of Aspiration, Application and Achievement reflects our drive for success and our enthusiasm to encourage.
We seek teachers who can assist and support the Head of Faculty, build on the strengths already within the team and continue the good progress being made in this vital curriculum area. The appointee will also act as a form tutor and participate in extracurricular activities.
Applications will be considered from Newly Qualified Teachers; applications would also be welcomed from candidates returning to work after a career break. Our NQTs have access to weekly training sessions with key staff, an internal mentor and a subject specialist mentor. Through the NQT programme there is also external support provided by a neighbouring school throughout the academic year.
