GOVERNORS ARE SEEKING TO APPOINT AN ENTHUSIASTIC AND DYNAMIC MATHEMATICS TEACHER
(Long term absence cover – 2nd November 2020 – 31st December 2020 in the First Instance)
We wish to appoint a classroom practitioner who can demonstrate a clear sense of purpose and high expectations in this highly successful and popular department and across this high performing school. St. Joseph’s Catholic School & Sixth Form Centre is a successful 11-18 school.
The post is to cover long term sickness for November and December. However, the post may be extended to cover a maternity from January onwards. The post is made up of just over 0.8 Maths and will be made up to full time by the successful candidate doing a small amount of general cover.
The Mathematics department is a very strong department with a strong track record over many years. A large number of pupils study Mathematics in the Sixth Form and many go off to university to follow Maths related courses. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified Mathematics teacher with the ability to teach from KS3 to KS4 and ideally KS5. NQTs would be considered for this post. The school is committed to further improve standards in Mathematics and will support the successful candidate to achieve our high ambitions with a bespoke CPD programme.
St. Joseph’s has been a Pioneer School for 3 years (Mathematics & Numeracy) and the successful candidate will need to be familiar with and embrace the principles underpinning Successful Futures.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and fully support the Catholic Ethos of the school and applicants will need to complete the CES application form. Applicants should use the supporting statement to explain why they believe they are suitable for the role.
