Teacher of Maths (Adult)
We are looking for a part-time Teacher to join our Adult Maths teaching team based at the Joseph Wright Centre.
You will be a dedicated and motivated professional ready to provide an innovative, dynamic and responsive delivery of various maths programmes, primarily Functional Maths to adult learners, both at The Joseph Wright Centre and a variety of community venues. The successful candidate will be timetabled over 3 or 4 days (Monday to Friday) and this could include morning, afternoon and / or evening classes.
You will have experience in delivering Functional Maths to adult learners in a community setting. You will be responsible for planning schemes of work and lessons, setting and marking assignments, keeping learner portfolios up to date and entering learner data on our administrative system. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills, together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team, are also essential in this role.
Candidates must have a teaching qualification and have achieved a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English. Applicants should be flexible and have their own transport in order to commute to community locations as required.
