We are an oversubscribed 11-18 community comprehensive school in north Cardiff with over 1,700 pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who aspires to be an enthusiastic and outstanding teacher. The successful candidate would need to have experience of teaching religious education at KS4 and also have a clear vision for teaching in the Humanities AOLE at KS3. The Humanities team currently comprises of 9 staff in addition to this position.
With new leadership we are currently rebranding the RE department focusing on ethics, philosophy, equality and diversity. This position will have a great opportunity to shape the teaching and learning in the department in line with the school’s vision for developing ethical, ambitious, informed pupils ready for the next stage in their life. Outcomes at Key stage 4 and recruitment into key stage 5 are also priorities for the department and areas for development. With year groups of 300 if you have the enthusiasm, ambition and talent then this is the role for you.
