This is an exciting opportunity to teach in one of the highest achieving schools in Bristol teaching Religious Education across all year groups. Redland Green School is a very special place to work and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our experienced team.
Redland Green School are looking for a full time RE teacher to join our strong and effective RE department who have a tradition of achieving excellent student outcomes and are valued by the students we teach. RE at Redland Green School is composed of "Religion and Worldviews" in Key Stage 3, optional RE GCSE and core Ethics at Key Stage 4 and Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at Key Stage 5. This role would involve teaching all elements of Key Stage 3 and 4 with the option to teach Key Stage 5 at a later date. The successful candidate will also be prepared to teach other Humanities subjects at Key Stage 3 and some PSHE.
We are proud of our knowledge rich and engaging RE curriculum. The successful candidate would be a part of the continual development of this by offering constructive criticism and have the opportunity to develop new units. This is an outward looking department and teachers have a local and national voice for RE working with Learn, Teach, Lead RE, SACRE and NATRE councils as well as writing for RE Today.
As a Religious Education Teacher you will be working in the Humanities Department along with our excellent colleagues. The successful applicant will possess an enriching style of teaching that encourages our students. We would like to appoint a teacher who is able to engage pupils with their strong devotion for the subject and their positive and passionate personality.
