An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Teacher of Science to join our Applied Science team at the Joseph Wright Centre (JWC).
This opportunity would be suitable to both a highly skilled experienced teacher or an unqualified teacher with recent industry experience seeking an opportunity to begin a career in teaching.
The role is primarily to deliver across our Science T level (level 3) and Science Foundation T level (level 2) courses however A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics and GCSE Combined Science are also offered at the JWC and are currently experiencing a growth in enrolments therefore opportunities to teach across these courses are likely to arise.
As part of the launch of our Science T level and Science Foundation T level courses a state-of-the-art laboratory and digital workshop is currently being constructed at the Joseph Wright Centre. Whilst the JWC already has 4 well equipped Science laboratories, the new lab will for allow teachers and students to make use of the latest industry equipment and allow employers to have a greater role in the classroom.
You will be qualified at degree level in a Science subject or have recent industry experience in a laboratory. You will hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or will be willing to work towards achieving this.
