A teacher of Theology and Philosophy is required to teach in our senior school to both GCSE and A Level. This is a newly created role to reflect an increase in demand. This position can either be full time or on a part time basis teaching approximately 20 periods per week likely to be over 5 days.
Claremont Fan Court School provides a friendly and supportive working environment with small classes of well-motivated pupils.
Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, and an effective, nurturing teaching style. You will be part of a hardworking and enthusiastic team of teachers in a faculty where students are challenged to think deeply about the issues covered and are able to articulate their own opinions, as a result great emphasis is placed on debate and discussion.
The role could suit an NQT for whom first class support will be given or an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge. We’re a happy, well-resourced school in an outstanding setting. A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school is essential.
In return you can expect all the benefits of a thriving independent school: a competitive and progressive salary, pension, professional development, laptop, cycle scheme, lunches in term time, free parking and a means tested rent subsidy.
“The quality of the pupils academic and other achievements is excellent” (ISI inspection January 2017)
