Welcome to Meadlands! We are a distinctive and ambitious one form entry primary based in the heart of Ham surrounded by extensive green space, woodlands, and on the periphery of Richmond Park. Our staffing team is our strength. With an experienced and highly qualified support staff working alongside a committed and creative teaching staff team, we all work closely together to improve the experiences and outcomes of our children.
We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our school team from September. The right candidate will need to have experience and expertise in working in a primary school or Nursery setting and must have qualifications in Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Nursery Nurse as a minimum.
We are looking for someone who is willing to be part of our successful, happy and busy school. They will be allocated to one year group (KS2) but will need to show willing to support the school with cover as required. Work will involve assisting the classroom teacher with planning, preparation and assessment, delivering small group / 1:1 teaching, leading interventions as well as first aid and playground duties. We are looking for someone who is committed, reliable and kind. Someone who will be able to use their initiative to adapt and respond flexibly, patiently and creatively to the needs of the children so that they make good progress, feel safe and are able to become an independent learners. Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills are essential as is a record of high attendance.
