The Vineyard is a highly popular and successful primary school, which has been rated “outstanding” by Ofsted. It is located at the top of Richmond Hill hidden away, a short distance from the river and Richmond Park. It also benefits from an unusually secluded and rural environment. As a school, we are passionate about meeting all children's needs, ensuring their happiness and making the most of their individual talents. The focus on developing a lifelong love of learning is underpinned by rigorous attention to the development of essential skills and tools. We aim to balance high academic standards with particular expertise and emphasis on the creative arts.
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic person to join our dedicated and talented support team.
We have two posts for the summer term (starting from 19 April 2021) with a possibility of contract extention. Both posts involve one to one support for learners with a range of special educational needs. We are particularly looking to recruit someone who is enthusiastic and positive about working with young people with physical needs. The role will also include some general lunchtime supervision. Our TLSAs work flexibly in that they may sometimes work with different classes or key stages, depending on the needs of the pupils and of the school as a whole.
The successful candidate will be provided with high quality support under the direction of the class teacher and the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion. It is essential that candidates have
- experience of working with children
- the ability to work as a member of a team
- excellent interpersonal skills
- very good literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to support academically across the curriculum
- good organisational skills
In return we can offer:
• An excellent working environment.
• Talented and hard-working professional colleagues who are committed to children’s success across the curriculum.
• A supportive, friendly and caring team.
We promote diversity and applications are welcome from all, irrespective of sex, sexuality, race, religion, marital status, age or disability.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in future teacher training opportunities offered by the Schools Direct initiative.
