Teaching Assistant – Transition Support

Salary: Grade 3 Scale point 5
£18,795- full time equivalent
£8,788 - actual salary
Location: Two Rivers CofE Primary School, Keynsham (near Bristol/Bath)
Contract: Part-time, Term Time Only + 2 INSET days
20.5 hours per week. Hours to be agreed with the school.
Term: 1 year fixed-term until 31st August 2021, or until child leaves the school if earlier
Wellsway Multi Academy Trust is at an exciting stage in its development. The Trust currently comprises of fourteen schools with more planning to join and is moving towards its vision of being a truly inclusive provider of 4-19 education in East Bristol and Bath.
Following the allocation of Transition Support Funding a fixed term (20.5 hours per week) Teaching Assistant role will be available within our school from Term 1, September 2020, to support a named year child with Transition Funding and identified needs. Applicants must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or 3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum would be advantageous, together with experience of supporting children with SEND, including speech and language communication and interaction, play skills, ASD and social and emotional needs.
