We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time, teaching assistant to work with children in the Welsh medium nursery at the Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre. Your role will be to support learning in the Welsh Medium Nursery and to support the delivery of out of hours childcare, such as the Holiday Club, Breakfast Club and After School Club.

We are looking to appoint a practitioner who is a fluent Welsh speaker, well versed in child development and who is committed to the principles of play based practice. We would love hear from you, if you are able to:
• nurture and support children in all areas of development,
• providing a stimulating and challenging environment for children within the Centre,
• support and inspire colleagues,
• work alongside multi-agency teams to support families,
• involve parents in their children’s development and well-being,
• work a flexible pattern of hours across the week.
(Please note, this role is a year round post and requires flexibility in terms of working hours throughout the week and across the year. It is NOT a term time only position.)
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
