Teaching Assistant and Playworker
The Swan Trust are looking for an inspiring Teaching Assistant who can begin to develop in our children a love of learning by teaching them how to learn, how to care for others and an understanding of the world around them. As an Eco Green Flag school we would hope that our new Teaching Assistant would share our ethos.
You would join our team at The Oaktree School. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants.
We can offer you an opportunity to join a very successful three form entry school. In addition to its high academic performance the school values creativity across the curriculum and exciting hands on learning for our children. Work areas are large, bright and well resourced. We have a large learning resource centre which houses an ICT suite, small group areas and library. Our outside learning areas provide children with the opportunity to learn through experience.
We have a very successful and thriving Before and After School Club. You will have the opportunity to lead activities and assist in the day to day organisation of the club, providing safe, high quality play for children aged 4 – 11 years of age.
There is also an opportunity to lead activities and assist in the running of a holiday club during school holidays.
We are a friendly school with a great team ethos, both working with children and each other. We continually strive for high standards in school, but still have time for fun and enjoyment. Visitors comment on our happy, well-behaved children.
