Shakespeare Primary School and Nursery is looking to employ talented and committed Learning Support Assistant to start or further their career with us. Shakespeare Primary School and Nursery is an expanding and thriving school in which support staff play a critical role in securing excellent outcomes for children. You will need to have a positive outlook and attitude, a child-focussed approach to meeting children’s needs and a commitment to working as part of a team. Crucially, you will have a passion for children’s learning, development and personal care.
You must be a highly motivated individual with good Maths and English skills (GCSE Grade C or above). We work with all our Learning Support Assistants to ensure they are highly skilled and able to work with children of all ages, levels and abilities; including those with significant special educational needs. In return we offer high quality training and support to ensure our staff are well equipped for the role expected of them.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and holds the Inclusion Charter Mark and Stephen Lawrence Award. In a recent OFSTED inspection, the school was judged as good and the contribution of support staff was identified as a significant strength. The post would be suitable for both aspiring teachers and candidates seeking to build a career in classroom support.
