Teaching Assistant – term time only and permanent

Salary £17,822 to £18,145 pro rata (FTE 23,187 to £23,607)
Clarendon School is an outstanding special day academy for pupils aged 4-16 with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs including Autism. There are places for 160 young people (50 Primary and 110 Secondary), usually in classes of around 12. Our team work together to provide the best education and pastoral care to ensure that Clarendon is a place of learning for everyone.
We are looking to appoint a motivated and organised Teaching Assistant to join our caring and friendly team working with pupils aged 5 to 11 in our Primary Centre in Hampton. The successful candidate will be expected to develop strong and positive relationships with staff and pupils. They will support pupils to enhance learning and encourage them to become independent learners as well as providing educational, welfare and therapeutic support for pupils with a range of learning needs.
We are looking for staff with good communication skills, ability to work on their own initiative and previous experience of working with pupils with learning needs.
