Required from September 1st 2020, teaching support staff for our Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Resource Base at Kelvin Hall School.
We are looking to recruit a team of staff to the following permanent posts:
Teaching Assistants - Grade 4, Term time only, 32.5 hours per week, actual salary £14,550
This is an exciting opportunity for support staff with experience of working with children who have additional needs, either in a special or mainstream school. This will be a new challenge, working to support children in the first secondary ASC Resource Base in the city which is now located in a mainstream secondary school. This will be a new facility with opening in September 2020.
We are looking for skilled professionals for our provision that is being established with support from Hull City Council and Northcott Special School to meet the needs of students with ASC being their primary need.
We wish to appoint motivated, skilled and resilient staff to form a team that will enable students to also access as much of the mainstream curriculum as possible.
Kelvin Hall School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and the school offers ongoing support, guidance and development for staff.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Fully understand the varied needs of students with ASC, can work well with them in the Base and support their successful integration to mainstream lessons.
- Have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with parents/carers and professional colleagues.
