33 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days, worked Monday 8.30am to 5pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.30am to 3.15pm (30 minutes lunch break)
The Yorkshire and the Humber Co-operative Learning Trust (YHCLT) was formed in September 2016 and is now responsible for 9 schools across Hull, 2 secondary and 7 primary schools.

Required from October 2020, a Teaching Assistant for our Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Resource Base at Kelvin Hall School. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working with children who have additional needs, either in a special or mainstream school. This will be a new challenge, working to support children in the first secondary ASC Resource Base in the city which is now located in a mainstream secondary school. This is a new facility which opened in September 2020.
We wish to appoint a motivated and skilled professional to support our existing team in enabling students to access as much of the mainstream curriculum as possible.
Kelvin Hall School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and the school offers ongoing support, guidance and development for staff.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Fully understands the varied needs of students with ASC, can work well with them in the Base and support their successful integration to mainstream lessons.
- Has excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with parents/carers and professional colleagues.
