We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant at Furzefield Primary School to primarily work with children who have Educational, Health and Care Plans, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to be part of a dedicated team and has a strong desire to develop children’s learning and improve the life chances of all of our children. You will need to be a flexible team player with a sense of humour and an optimistic outlook. Experience of working with SEND children would be an advantage, although not essential. Ideally you will be patient and calm, with a consistent and positive approach to managing pupils’ behaviour and a good understanding of how children learn.
Furzefield is a vibrant community school in Merstham with an established Good Ofsted grading that provides education for pupils aged 3-11 years. We offer a creative curriculum, including Forest School, pupils who are eager to learn, and staff who are friendly, supportive and continually striving to provide the very best for children.

The contract will initially be temporary (fixed term), until 31st August 2021.
Working hours to be confirmed but you will definitely be expected to work Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks per year).
Surrey Pay Range, Scale 3: £17,663 - £18,607 per annum, full time equivalent – THE SALARY WILL BE PRO RATA’D ACCORDINGLY.
