This is an exciting opportunity where we are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team in January 2021, or sooner if you are able to do so. You will need to use your skills to assist the Class Teacher in enabling pupils to access learning and experiences. You’ll be working under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENDCO to assist in the management of pupils and the classroom.
This post is based at St James Church of England Primary and Nursery School but you may be required to work across all the schools within Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust as directed.
St James Church of England Primary and Nursery School opened in September 2018. It has a distinctive Christian character and makes the most of its’ Dartmoor setting by specialising in outdoor learning and education. You will need a good pair of wellies.
If you have experience of working with children of a relevant age, relate well to children and adults and are passionate about enabling all children to access learning, we’d like to hear from you. Having a Level 3 qualification would be an advantage.
The successful candidates will be joining a small, committed and supportive staff team in a developing school. Flexibility is key.
