We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for January 2021 to assist Pre-Prep/ Early Years teachers in creating a stimulating learning environment within which our younger pupils can grow and develop. Working in small class sizes with access to outstanding facilities and resources, you will be joining a dynamic team of experienced teachers and assistants. Whether befriending Gruffaloes, Swashbuckling Pirates or finding “Wockets in Pockets”, the successful candidate will be able to encourage the children to explore, and question, the world around them and to learn from their stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will already possess a Level 2 or above Early Education and/or Childcare qualification and have experience of working within an educational/Early Years setting. Caring and enthusiastic, they will be energetic and possess the ability to enthuse our younger pupils to “fly again with Winnie” or lead a “Bear Hunt”. Friendly and approachable, they will be able to develop good relations with children, staff and the wider school community.
Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty-acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.
The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
