Combined TA and MDSA role worked Monday to Friday
- TA hours: 8.45am to 3.00pm – 22.5 hours per week with breaks
- MDSA hours: 5 hours per week
Pay scales: Dependent on experience
- TA: Grade D - point 4 to 6 - £18,933 to £19,698 pro rata
- MDSA: Grade B – point 1 to 2 - £17,842 to £18,198 pro rata

We need a caring and committed teaching assistant primarily to work in Upper Key Stage 2 undertaking a range of duties from supporting children in small groups and 1:1 both academically and emotionally. There may be occasions when you are required to work in a similar role supporting children in other key stages across the school. The hours for this post are to be worked over 5 days and are organised to complement the existing support available in the team. We need you to love the outdoors, to be creative and imaginative in addition to being kind and patient. Experience for this post is essential.
We place a high value on children’s emotional well-being and we are looking for people who share our vision that children need to be emotionally happy to be able to achieve highly. We work therapeutically with our children in enabling them to achieve this. We need you to have a keen interest in helping children play and encouraging active learning. Experience of working with children with additional needs is essential for this post.
The post also requires you to work in our MDSA team on a daily basis. Working across the entire lunch period you will be ensuring that the dining experience for all our children from the youngest to the oldest is happy, safe and fulfilling!
You will be joining a supportive and caring team who are part of the Fitzmaurice family. Everyone in the Fitz family is a vital member of the team who brings their own special quality; we enjoy a laugh so a sense of humour along with the ability to be patient is essential!
