Pay: NJC5-7 £19,312 - £20,092 (Actual salary based on 37 hours per week, Term time only £16,663 - £17,336)

We are excited to be advertising for a Teaching Assistant to undertake work, care and support programmes to facilitate learning of students and to assist teachers in the management of students and the classroom.

This role is working 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 6 month fixed term contract paying between £19,312 - £20,092 (Actual salary based on 37 hours per week, Term time only £16,663 - £17,336) dependant on experience.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support for Students: To supervise and provide support for targeted students, including those who are struggling to engage in mainstream lessons. You will be providing differentiated support that seeks to maximise their motivation, reduce barriers to learning and increase engagement
• Support for Teachers: Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, following lesson plans agreed with line manager(s) and teachers
• Support for The Curriculum: Undertake structured learning activities/teaching programmes, to develop students' literacy/numeracy skills in order to raise standards
• Support for the School: Participate in training and other learning activities as required and accompany teaching staff and students on visits, trips and out of school activities
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Ability to manage own time effectively
• Ability to operate as part of a team or individually as required.
• Excellent communicator who is patient, flexible and adaptable.
