£18,562 - £19,698 (Plus SEN Allowance £457) pro-rata
32.5 hours (39 weeks Term Time only)
Required from September 2021, with the possibility to commence earlier.
We are seeking to appoint a number of passionate, caring and dynamic teaching assistants with a passion for working with pupils with additional leaning needs. Experience or demonstrable commitment to working with pupils who have additional learning needs is essential. Successful applicants must be able to work in a team and show initiative in order to provide the best education and care for pupils at Ty Gwyn. Ty Gwyn supports pupils aged 3-19 with autism and/or profound and complex needs. The school is federated with Riverbank and Woodlands School within the Western Learning Federation. We are proud that the school has been recognised as a Pioneer and Innovation School for its work on the new curriculum and professional learning. These posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS, and candidates must register with the Education Workforce Council. The newly appointed member of staff will work at Ty Gwyn School and employed by the Western Learning Federation.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
The three federated schools are progressing with their exciting journey. The positions will be based in Ty Gwyn School; however, as standard practice, newly appointed members of staff will be employed by the Federation.
