Badbury Park Primary School moved into a state-of-the art building in November 2020; we currently have a nursery class, reception class and a mixed reception/Year 1 class, growing to add a Year 2 class in September 2021. Our new free school is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust, a family of primary schools based in Swindon who are increasing in size and offer excellent CPD, support and career opportunities.
Our school is a vibrant, friendly place where children are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge, and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives. We have engaged, happy learners in beautiful, authentic learning spaces with carefully chosen versatile natural resources that provoke creativity, curiosity, and concentration. Using natural resources offers our children the opportunity to experience nature first-hand and become connected to the natural world, through play. Outdoor learning, play and Forest school is the heart of our curriculum.
The new school building is spacious, and purpose built, including a large hall, studio, cookery room, library, calming classrooms, a group room per year group and a huge field. All classrooms are equipped with new resources and the most up-to-date ICT provision, including a brand-new immersive classroom coming in the autumn; we would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are keen to help develop ICT across the school and are enthusiastic and confident in sharing their skills with the rest of the team.
