Salary: Hay 10 (£14228 - £15100 per annum)
Hours: 30 hours per week – working pattern to be confirmed.

Our dynamic team are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced teaching assistance to work 1:1 with a child in year 1 (moving to year 2 September) with an ECHP linked to ASC. The role is 30 hours per week (specific work pattern to be advised), term time only. You will have a passion for learning, be motivated and self-motivated.
You will also have:
•Experience in working with children with needs associated with a diagnosis of ASC
•The ability to use teachers plans to adapt and resource support for individual needs
•The ability to be flexible and adapt with change
•A caring and inclusive ethos
•The skills to support children in managing their emotions and to be a calm and consistent role model
•Excellent communication skills and be confident in continuing positive relationships between the school and our families
•High expectations of every pupil both academically and in their behaviour
•Use praise, commentary and assistance to encourage pupils to concentrate and stay on task
•Consistently and effectively implements agreed behaviour management strategies
•Liaise with class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual education plans, contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate
•Supports pupils in developing social skills both in and out of the classroom
•When working with a group of pupils, understand and use group dynamics to promote group effectiveness and support group and individual performance
