Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy is a vibrant, diverse inner city school that was recently graded ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted inspection in February 2019. The Ofsted inspection recognised that the changes at senior leadership have ensured that the school has embarked on a new era where children are making strong and rapid progress. We have a dedicated team who work hard to improve the outcomes of all children. Ofsted noted that staff morale is high and since then, we have awarded the Gold Standard from Investors in People.
If you do not know this area, please come and visit, don’t let stereotypes of ‘challenging inner city schools’ deter you from enquiring. The children at Windmill are delightful, they are eager to learn and value their school, Ofsted wrote that the children here are ‘thoughtful and considerate’. Parents and carers are very supportive of the school and have taken part in events (pre-covid) such as writing mornings and international days. Please follow us on Twitter @windmilllead to get a flavour of the school and the many enriching things that we provide.
