Teaching Assistant and Lunch Time Supervisor
We are recruiting a part-time teaching assistant for 16.25 hours per week on a permanent contract. This is a TA 2 position and the scale point will depend on the experience and qualifications of the applicant. The position will be to work five mornings in class, initially in Key Stage One, however all our TAs are flexible and need to be prepared to work anywhere in the school. We are also recruiting a lunchtime supervisor / active play leader for 1.5 hours per day, paid on the lunchtime supervisor pay scale. There may also be the opportunity for some additional hours at TA 4 to cover PPA time for a teacher, again depending on the experience and skills of the candidate.
Our Teaching Assistants are valued members of our school team. They play a full and welcomed part in the life of the school, sharing in social events and sometimes running after school clubs or leading a curriculum subject or area of school life. We are keen to appoint enthusiastic, energetic individuals. Experience of working with children is essential as is a willingness to be a full part of our school team. The successful candidate should be able to work under his/her own initiative.
