Required from February 2022 - 31st August 2022. This post may be extended dependent on funding.
The appointment is of a temporary nature due to the identified budget provision to provide ALN support in the school, to individual or groups of pupils, as directed. Budget provision has been identified initially until 31st August 2022. However, the appointment will be reviewed on a regular basis, taking into account any changes to the budget provided.
The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with a commitment to inclusive learning. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, ethos of the multi-cultural school is essential. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, good interpersonal skills, show initiative, share in the planning and evaluation of activities and work well as part of a dedicated team.
The successful applicant will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Additional Learning Needs on an individual or group basis within our Reception class. The appointment will be subject to suitably qualified candidates with NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education, NNEB or equivalent qualifications.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
