Have you got experience supporting individuals with special needs? We are currently looking for a passionate classroom support assistant for a special educational needs school located in Rugeley. This school caters for students from the age of four to eighteen who have autism and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Due to the needs of the children, we are looking for someone that has previously worked with special educational needs and is confident in their behaviour management.
You will be working with students on a one-to-one basis as well as working with small groups. The school focuses its learning on a Japanese style which incorporates lots of walking and exercise into their day. Each classroom does not exceed eight students and maintains a high level of staff. It is important to this school that every student always has outstanding support and receives a personalised learning experience. This is a full-time position that will begin in September and be ongoing until the end of the academic year.
- You must have previous experience of working with students with autism or SEMH.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
