£18,887 to £20,043 (+ SEN Allowance £507.12) pro-rata
39 weeks (32.5 hours) term time only
Required from the 4th September 2022
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £9.90 per hour (scp 1&3). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2023 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
The three special schools have federated and are now beginning their exciting new journey. The positions will be based in Riverbank, however newly appointed members of staff will be employed by the federation.
We require a number of Teaching Assistants to join this vibrant special school at an exciting time in its development.
Riverbank School supports pupils aged 3-11 with autism. Riverbank is a place where pupils learn together to be the best that they can be, to provide a world class education offer which is unique and set within a hub of excellence embedded throughout the school to enable the achievement of ‘learning together to be the best we can’
Riverbank School, Ty Gwyn School and Woodlands School are part of the Western Learning Federation and as it is the only special school federation in Wales. We are a truly unique organisation where our schools support pupils aged 3-19 with profound and multiple learning disabilities, pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and complex needs.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
