The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active and empathetic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. The role will require the successful candidate to support the educational needs of a child who will based in Year 1 in September. The successful candidate will need a good understanding around how best to support a child with sensory needs. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as adaptability, initiative and patience. The ability to contribute to the warm, caring, Christian ethos of the school is also essential. The successful candidate will share in the planning and evaluation of activities, and must be able to work well as part of a dedicated team.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £9.90 per hour (scp 1&3). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2023 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
