The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active and empathetic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. The role will require the successful candidate to support the medical needs of a child with diabetes who will based initially in Reception in September. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as adaptability, initiative and patience. The ability to contribute to the warm, caring, Christian ethos of the school is also essential. The successful candidate will be required to undertake and implement training provided by medical professionals, and must be able to work well as part of a dedicated team.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £9.90 per hour (scp 1&3). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2023 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
