Hours: 17 Hours 30 Minutes per week, term time only (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 12pm)
Salary: Hay 9 (£9,348 - £10,320 per annum)

Both posts are fixed term until 31st August 2021 subject to a COVID funding review.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our EYFS team who has the energy and creativity to inspire children. Our EYFS provision is on an exciting journey and you will be working as part of our Reception Unit and can play a valuable role in supporting the development of our provision in our indoor and outdoor areas.
At Abbotswood, we work very closely with our parents and are therefore looking for a team player who can become part of our school family, developing positive relationships with staff, pupils and families.
We are looking for someone who has a strong working knowledge of Early Years practice and evidence of using the EYFS profile and Development Matters document. You will be working with pupils who are at different stages in their development and will need to be able to support them through a balance of adult and child led activities as well as delivering interventions where required. We require someone who can communicate effectively and show initiative, who is prepared to work hard to secure the very highest levels of learning for our pupils. As part of this role it is important that you are able to keep detailed and accurate observations and records of children’s achievements.

In addition provide lunchtime support for pupils, promoting pupil’s play and social skills on the playground, the school field and in the dining hall. Applicants must be flexible, supportive, able to use their own initiative and to liaise closely with other staff.
