Teaching Assistant / Tutor Role
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 4.00pm + Mandatory Training until 5.00 pm one day per week. Term Time Only
Reports to: AB/VB Supervisor
Location: 46A Longridge Road, Kensington. ( Primary Site) / 11-14 Crown Street Acton ( Secondary Site)
Probationary Period: One Term
Salary range: £18,000 – £20,000 Depending on previous experience and qualifications .

Snowflake school is Ofsted Outstanding all through school with capacity for 42 pupils. Having recently opened our secondary site, we are expanding our team to continue our high-quality provision of 1:1 support for each pupil.

As a member of a team including TAs, an ABA instructor, and an ABA Supervisor, you will provide outstanding ABA/VB support to children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties. You will be based in a class of six pupils, working with pupils both individually and in small groups, delivering a personalised curriculum, using techniques based on the principles of ABA/VB.
- To work under the instruction and guidance of the ABA/ VB Supervisor to assist with the management of pupils and undertake teaching and care for key pupils carrying out pupils’ support programme and enabling independence and access to learning for all.

- To ensure that the ethos reflects the agreed aims, principles of learning and the policy on equal opportunities and thereby promote the general progress and wellbeing of each pupil.
Use and develop knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavioural Analysis and Verbal Behaviour approaches and methodology and ensure that personal knowledge of ABA VB is kept up to date. Although many of our TAs hold bachelor's degrees, the most important criteria for this is role is a genuine interest in and joy for working with autism. Many of our TAs go on to careers in teaching, educational Psychology, or continuing their ABA VB journey by gaining their BCBA certification.
