We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with BSL Level 1, as a minimum, which will be assessed at interview.
This role is to work 1:1 with a student and is subject to their continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special needs/funding.
You will be required to promtoe the use of BSL throughout the school. You will need previous experience in supporting deaf children and/or young people in an educational setting and knowledge of SEN. You will also be expected to have a knowledge and experience of hearing technology or the ability and commitment to learn. You will be flexible, patient, hardworking and committed to maximising learing opportunities for children. You will be instrumental in helping the student to access the deaf community in and around Devon.
