Teaching Assistant – Level 3 Supporting & Delivering Learning
Contract type: Temporary until 31st August 2022 (with the possibility of being extended)
Contracted hours: 27.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year (Term Time)
Salary: £13,767 - £15,813 per annum (SCP 10-17)
Start date: As soon as possible
Based at: Croeserw Primary School, Bryn Siriol, Cymmer, Port Talbot, SA13 3PL
The Governing body of The Federated Primary Schools of the Upper Afan Valley seek to appoint a suitably qualified, caring and committed individual to the role of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The post will be based at Croeserw Primary School initially, however, the post holder could be required to work in any of the Federated Primary Schools of the Upper Afan Valley. The role is needed to provide both 1:1 and group support to pupils.
The successful candidate must:
• Be enthusiastic about working with children and have relevant experience in schools;
• Be resilient when faced with challenging situations;
• Have excellent communication skills;
• Be able to work as part of a team.
You will also have a minimum of 4 GSCEs, including English and Maths at Grade C or above, be qualified or working towards a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification. Ideally you will have experience in this kind of position. The post is for 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks a year (term time only). The job will commence asap following interview and relevant safeguarding checks.
