Teaching Assistant or HLTA
Devonshire Primary School requires a part time Teaching Assistant (suitably qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant are also welcome to apply).
Please indicate on your application form whether you are applying for a Teaching Assistant grade or a Higher Level Teaching Assistant grade. Please note that you will need appropriate qualifications to be considered for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant grade.
Teaching Assistant - grade 3/4 - 20 hours per week - term time only
FTE £22,185-£24,258 (pro rata £10,322-£11,287)
Higher Level Teaching Assistant - grade 5/6 - 20 hours per week - term time only
FTE £24,693-£28,992 (pro rata £11,489-£13,489)
When Ofsted visited us in May 2019, they commented on the strong sense of community in the school and the fact that staff and pupils told them that they were proud to be members of the school.
This is a permanent position to support during the school day (8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) Experience of working with primary pupils is essential and experience of supporting emotional and behaviour needs is very desirable. If you are applying for a job at the Higher Level Teaching Assistant grade you must demonstrate that you are able to deliver lessons to classes and this will be tested at interview.
