We require a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide care and support for a child, moving to Year 2 in September, with an EHCP. This rewarding role will suit a TA who has previous experience of working with children with special needs on a 1:1 basis, particularly in KS1. The successful candidate will be sensitive to the needs of this child who has severe attachment needs, and who has developmental delay in social skills. The child also has difficulty with social, emotional and mental health and needs support to self-regulate his emotions.
Applicants must be flexible, supportive, be able to use their own initiative and liaise closely with other staff. Experience of working with children with attachment issues is desirable. You will be able to work independently, under the direction of the class teacher and the Inclusion leader.
This is a temporary contract, dependent on funding and the child remaining at this school.
Closing date: 12 noon, Friday 10th July 2020.
Interviews will be held on Monday 13th July.
