Grade 2 Teaching Assistant, Full time and Part time positions available, Term Time Only
Current Actual Salary £15,625 - £16,510 per annum (includes SEN allowance) dependent on years’. Salary based on 32.5 hours per week, pro rata’d for part time workers.
Mayfield school has recently joined our Multi Academy Trust. The school educates children and young people, who have a range of learning difficulties, between the ages of 3 and 19 and have approximately 300 students on roll and we are split across 2 different sites – Heathfield Road and HML.
The school pride itself on the inclusive work that carried out with other schools and partners in the community and have developed excellent relationships with local businesses and charities. This has had a positive effect on the school’s curriculum, and the pupils’ have benefited from a range of extra-curricular and subject enhancing activities during their time there; including trips to local centres of interest and opportunities to develop their social skills on residential outings. The schools curriculum model outlines the emphasis that we place on each child as an individual.
It understands the important role that families provide in supporting their child’s education, and at Mayfield, they ensure that they promote a positive learning environment that is welcoming and supportive to everyone. They have a designated Pastoral Team that work tirelessly to support our families and students. This includes arranging coffee mornings, workshops and welcoming new families to the school.
Education Impact Academy Trust is currently looking for a number of candidates to support teaching and learning. The role is varied and will include classroom support, mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of our pupils as and when required.
We are looking for adaptable, flexible and resourceful individuals with excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• Experience of working with children
• Some experience of supporting children in Literacy, Numeracy and working with SEN groups and individuals
• A good understanding of child development and learning processes
• The ability to follow instructions from the teacher and also be able to work independently
• The experience of and the ability to deal positively with children and parents
• Experience of using ICT effectively
