Lethbridge Primary School is a friendly primary academy, with high standards and a caring, positive ethos, in the heart of Old Town. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with appropriate experience to provide support to children with high needs within a mainstream school.

Previous experience of working with children with additional needs is essential, particularly ASC and associated difficulties. You will need to have patience, understanding and consistency in approach and be able to work with outside agencies and parents. A great sense of humour and a nurturing, flexible approach are also an advantage. The role will involve working on a 1 to 1 or small group basis inside and outside of the classroom; planning, resource preparation, administration, observation and assessment; liaising with and supporting the other members of this child’s immediate team and liaising with parents. There will be a need to provide personal care for a child. Our teachers and support staff work closely together to provide outstanding learning opportunities for all children.
