Kelvin Hall School is looking to appoint to our successful Teaching Assistant/Cover Team to support a range of students with Special Educational Needs, in order to enable their progress. This role also requires the effective delivery of lessons in the absence of the usual classroom teacher.
We are looking for committed practitioners to support, develop and implement our strategies for working with students to overcome barriers to learning. We are looking for someone who believes in building strong relationships with students and staff and is willing to go the extra mile to support them in being successful both in and outside of school.
This is a varied role working closely within the SEN team and the wider school organisation. The position demands high professional standards and could be suitable for experienced candidates as well as those with aspirations of becoming a qualified teacher or wishing to work in a school environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking school which is committed to academic excellence; continual development of staff; and innovative teaching and learning strategies. This is within the context of outstanding pastoral care and curricular provision to ensure the best possible student experience.
Kelvin Hall School is part of The Yorkshire and the Humber Co-operative Learning Trust (YHCLT) was formed in September 2016 and is now responsible for 9 schools across Hull, 2 secondary and 7 primary schools.

We will offer socially distanced visits, for individuals only, with masks worn, from 3.30 pm when the school site is quiet. Please contact Helen Harrison (PA to the CEO and Executive Trust Team) or telephone Kelvin Hall School to arrange this.
