Temporary Teaching Assistants
Grade 3 Salary Points 3 - 6
£18,065 - £19,171 Pro rata 39 weeks a year
The following Teaching Assistant posts are available: -
• 30 hours per week (5 days) to work 1:1 with a special needs pupil with autism
• 18.75 hours per week (3 days per week) to work with EAL pupils
• 12 hours per week (2 days per week) to work 1:1 with a pupil with SEN
To start in September 2019
The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant to work with a statemented and vulnerable Year 1 pupil who can display challenging behaviour.
The successful applicant will be: -

• Committed to working as part of a team, sharing expertise and learning from others
• Resourceful, resilient, robust and empathetic with a good sense of humour
• Committed to working in a multi racial primary school
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
These posts are subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Checks.
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
Training for this role will be given a high priority.
