The three federated schools are progressing with their exciting journey. The appointed member of staff will be based at Riverbank School; however, the newly appointed person would be employed by the federation.
Riverbank School provides for the needs of 70 pupils, aged 4-11. The majority of our pupils have a diagnosis of either SLD, GLD, ASC or SpLD and can sometimes display multifaceted behaviours.
We require a teaching assistant to join this vibrant special school at an exciting time in its development as we look towards the pending build of our new state of the art building. The LA and Governing Body are looking to appoint a pro-active and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has the ability to contribute to the ethos and values of Riverbank School. We are looking for someone with commitment and compassion to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of working with children on the autistic spectrum, possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to establish excellent working relationships with children, parents, staff and outside agencies. Good standards of numeracy and literacy are also essential.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
