An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time maternity cover Team Leader in Animal Management at Gunnersbury Park.
The successful candidate will be leading, managing and developing the curriculum area within the parameters set by the Head of Animal Management & Saddlery. The candidate will work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to lead a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, promoting high standards of teaching and learning within the area, and producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added. The team leader acts as Lead Internal Verifier at Gunnersbury Park and ensures all quality assurance procedures are fully complied with. Activities such as ensuring a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs and promoting new ways of teaching is also part of the role.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the Animal Care industry and a commitment to animal welfare.
You will possess a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards qualification
HND, degree or similar in a science or animal related discipline
A proven record of delivering teaching and learning to a consistently high standard which demonstrates a commitment to ensuring quality of provision is required and experience of Further Education curriculum delivery planning and administration.
Proven experience of motivating and organising self and others.
Working knowledge of the curriculum specialisms offered in the section and by the College
Up to date knowledge of teaching and learning, managing challanging learner behaviour and motivating students
