Cefn Saeson School is a very successful learning community serving Cimla, Tonna and central Neath.
Applications are invited from both NQTs and experienced teachers for the above post from 1st September 2020 up to 31st August 2021 in the first instance.
We wish to appoint a highly effective teacher to join this successful department with anticipation of a brand new build scheduled for September 2021. The ideal candidate will have proven successful teaching practices, together with recent successful experience at Key stage 3 and in teaching Maths and Numeracy to Key stage 4. Applicants will contribute towards the development of Maths with both whole class and support groups.
Applicants will be committed to enhancing pupils’ experiences using a variety of teaching and learning styles and will be expected to make a contribution not only to the Maths department but also to the school as a whole. Knowledge of the new curriculum will be required as a necessity.
You will have an interest and expertise in the use of ICT as an aid to teaching and learning, and a commitment to enhancing pupil experiences beyond the classroom. This would then complement the skills and expertise of the existing team. You should have the drive and ambition to seek to develop yourself and the department, and have the long term goal of providing assistance in leading the Mathematics faculty.
This post will provide an excellent opportunity for practitioners to develop their experience in a dynamic environment, committed to the professional development of all staff.
